- DC Department of Energy and Environment Notice of Request for Information (RFI): Distributed Battery Storage Systems to Address Grid Needs
The DC Department of Energy and Environment (DOEE) is requesting input from interested parties available to provide services in the District of Columbia regarding how distributed batteries can provide key grid services in the District. DOEE is particularly interested in parties with interest and expertise in deploying batteries of between 100 kW and 30 MW of capacity in any one location. Responses should be submitted via email to 2026BatteryRFI@dc.gov with the subject line “Distributed Battery RFI – [Primary Respondent Name]” by August 15, 2026. - New York Announces $8 Million for Advanced Fuel Projects
The New York State Energy Research and Development Authority opened an $8 million funding opportunity for projects focused on emerging low-carbon fuels and supporting infrastructure, including hydrogen and ammonia (PON 6161). The solicitation will support product development, pilot projects, and demonstrations that address energy needs in difficult-to-electrify sectors, including heavy-duty transportation and industry, or provide backup power. Applications are due September 28, 2026, by 3:00 p.m. ET.
